Ice Skating & Igloos

Is ice skating included with my igloo booking?

No, ice skating can be purchased separately, or be added to your igloo booking.

Can I book an igloo & ice skating together?

Igloo packages and ice-skating sessions can be booked together. We recommend booking your ice-skating session in a time slot prior to your igloo booking to ensure you are permitted onto the rink. We do not allow customers affected by alcohol onto the rink.

How long is my igloo booking for? Can we stay longer?

Each igloo booking is for 1 hour, 45 minutes. If there is no booking in your igloo immediately after you, ask our friendly staff if you can stay a little longer.

How many people can fit in one igloo?

Due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions the maximum capacities will differ depending on the state you’re in. In Brisbane, a maximum of 5 people can fit in each igloo. In Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide & Parramatta a maximum of 8 people can fit in each igloo. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, these maximum capacities cannot be increased unless we are advised by government advice.

Is there a minimum booking requirement for the igloos?

The minimum number to book an igloo is 2 guests. We have limited number of igloos available for groups of 2.

The igloo booking option is not showing up online – does this mean you are sold out?

Yes, please choose an alternative date.

What is included in the igloo packages?

Choose from two package options; Standard Package $49 per person, Premium Package $69 per person. Find all the details on the Igloo page on the website.

Is there heating in the Igloos?

There is no heating, but once the igloo is zipped up, it stays nice and warm inside.

What if we don’t want the package and just want to sit in the igloos?

If an igloo is available and you’d like to pop in for a photo, you’re welcome to do so. However, all igloo bookings require you to select one of our igloo packages, standard ($49pp), or premium ($69pp).

How long is each skating session?

Each session is 45 minutes. They occur on the hour, with the final 15 minutes allocated to cleaning the ice ready for the next session.

Can I book a double ice-skating session?

Each session starts on the hour, sessions are 45 minutes followed by a 15-minute interval which we use to maintain the ice. You can book two sessions however you will need to vacate the ice for 15 minutes in between the sessions.

Is there a minimum age limit on ice skating?

No child under the age of 3 is permitted on the ice rink.  Children between the ages of 3 – 5 are required to be accompanied by a parent/guardian on the rink at all times during the skating session. All children are required to wear a helmet on the ice, and skating aids are available should you require.

Are children allowed in the igloos?

Yes! It is the perfect spot for a family. We have kids menu packages available all day ($15 per child includes a main meal & a drink). These can be purchased online with all adult igloo packages.

Are igloos accessible for prams, walking aids and wheelchairs?

Yes, all igloos are accessible.

Should you have prams, we recommend parking these out the front of your igloo and utilising the couches and armchairs for your group.

Are children permitted on the ice?

No child under the age of 3 is permitted on the ice rink. All children 10 years and under must wear a helmet on the ice rink, these are provided free of charge with all ice skating passes.

Booking Information

Do we need a booking, or can we walk in?

Pre-bookings are strongly recommended due to the popularity of the igloos, however if there is availability on the day and you would like to book a package, you absolutely can! Entry is free.

Can I bring in a cake?

You are permitted to bring in a cake for a celebration if you wish to! Just ask our friendly staff on the day for some plates & napkins.

How much does it cost to attend The Winter Village?

Entry is free. Ice skating sessions & Igloo packages can be purchased on the day, however to ensure you secure your preferred date/time online bookings are highly recommended.

Is this event child-friendly?

The Winter Village is a child-friendly event however all minors under the age of 18 years must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Can I bring my dog to the event?

Whilst we love animals, The Winter Village is an animal free zone. This is of course excluding support animals.

If it rains, will we get wet in the igloos?

The igloos are 100% waterproof! So even if it’s raining on the day of your booking, once inside your igloo, you will stay nice and warm and dry.

What happens to my booking in the event of bad weather?

The Winter Village is an outdoor winter event designed to proceed in all weather conditions, rain or shine. All locations offer shelter in common areas, and igloos provide full protection from the rain. In the event of rain forecast, please assume your booking is going ahead unless we contact you and advise otherwise. In the event of extreme weather,  we will contact you within 48 hours of your booking to try and reschedule your booking, or offer a refund. Please note, no refunds will be offered in the case of no shows.

What is the cancelation policy?

For bookings where full payment is taken at the time of booking, a 48-hour cancellation policy applies. Unfortunately, there are no refunds available for cancellations within the 48-hour period prior to the booking date.

 

What payment options are available at the event?

The Winter Village is a cashless event; we accept all major credit cards.

What payment methods are accepted?

Please note, this is a cashless event. We accept EFTPOS and all major credit cards.

What if I have to cancel due to Covid-19?

If you or the event organizers need to cancel your booking due to Covid-19, we will refund the full amount to the card originally charged.

Food & Beverage

Can I order food & drinks if I don’t have a booking?

Absolutely! A pop-up kitchen & bar is onsite for food & drinks, which you can order direct from your phone to your table.

Can I order more food & drinks while I’m in the igloos?

Absolutely! A QR code to our visual menu will be provided in the igloos, and you can order and pay direct from your phone. Your food & drinks will be delivered direct to your igloo!

Is there a non-alcoholic option?

Both igloo packages come with a choice of beverage, alcoholic, or non-alcoholic.

I have some dietary requirements; do you cater for me?

We offer a range of gluten friendly, dairy free, vegetarian and options that can be made vegan across our menu. Please note, items are prepared in a shared environment, so we cannot 100% guarantee no trace elements. The activation is also nut free to ensure no contamination.

Do you cater for kosher or halal?

We do cater for Halal requirements, but not Kosher.

Do you cater for Gluten Free?

We can! Everything in the igloo packages can be altered to accommodate gluten friendly requirements. The fried chicken and mac & cheese will be replaced with GF arancini, and the bread will be replaced with GF bread & crackers.
